When I posted Dan Boyles tweet Wednesday night I wasn’t expecting Willie O’Dea to go a quick as he did.
I’m glad he’s gone though. Fair play to the journalist for releasing the recording or even keeping it.
I can’t believe he tried to destroy a journalists career to save his own neck.
“That man runs a brothel”, said Willie O’Dea of the Little People. “I am a victim”, he said when questioned about the fact that he had lied to the High Court about the brothel statement, which it emerged today was captured on tape by the Limerick Leader. Lie after lie but indignant to the end, our beloved little general was a true Fianna Failer.
According to Willie O’Deas letter last night he is only resiging as minister..not as a TD. But that could happen yet. So for the time being he keeps his seat and Biffo’s reply suggests he will not be letting go of his little Willie in Dail Eireann. “I look forward to continuing to work with you in Dail Eireann”
Dan Boyle was seen out to lunch in Waterford two weeks ago with Senator Deirdre de Burca a week later she resigns from the greens and a further week later Dan Boyle is on Twitter telling the whole nation he has no confidence in the Minister for Defence.
One wonders what’s this country coming to. Our cabinet that has had no balls has now lost it’s willie.
